Check and double check before you fix it
Maybe make sure they fit the holes before you install them. We didn't, so we were pushed into uncomfortable places... After lubrication and additional sealant, they fit perfectly! But then we found that even though they worked properly during the test drive, we had to drive with the headlights on for them to work properly. It's too late to take them off as we're on our way.
