Review on 1991 1995 Wrangler Cherokee Grand Capacitor by Greg Wilkerson

Firm kick without starting 65 degrees Fahrenheit

THANK YOU! It was MF for diagnosis, random stall, random non-start, long start; Until winter hit Texas. Several days of extreme temperature swings prompted me to investigate thermal glitches. A 1992 Cherokee had a thermal failure below about 65 degrees Fahrenheit, the engine would not start. New: battery, IAC, CPS, relay, starter switch in steering column, coil, wire, cover, rotor, spark plugs, starter etc. All bases updated. These were not replacement parts, I replaced the parts on rebuild by simply listing all the obvious parts that were replaced and passing all tests. If left in the garage above 65f, no problem. If it weren't for the extreme temperature swings, I'd still be troubleshooting. If you have PCB soldering skills, this is an easy 30 minute task.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
