I installed this filter at the manufacturer's recommendation, it cost $4!+. I pulled out of my car and was only 100 yards from my destination and my steering pump started making noise. Any chance of getting to where I was driving, opening the hood and draining the filter fluid killed the engine. The engine was too hot to run so I did what I wanted to do and let it cool down a bit. Needless to say it was good, when I got back it was cold and when I put the filter back together it started raining. It was such a treat working in the rain when the sun goes down putting everything back together now I'm starting to walk home and don't you know the damn thing fell apart again 3/4 mile from where I was just left and all 14 miles from home luckily it was in front of my friend's house as i was out of power steering fluid and this time there were no parts left except for two pieces clamped in a hose. ends.
