Description of πŸ’ͺ Enhanced Performance with Cardone Service 20 P038F Steering Filter - Boost Your Steering Efficiency!

As a remanufactured Original Equipment part, this unit guarantees a perfect vehicle fit. All critical components (cam packs, spool valves, etc.) are triple-tested to ensure product reliability; Units are supplied with 100% tested and calibrated pressure relief valves. All units are built with 100% new O-rings and premium-grade HNBR seals to prevent leaks; HNBR does not break down at high temperatures like conventional seal material. Shafts are surfaced to precise specifications to eliminate premature seal wear and extend pump life; Final pump assembly is computer-tested to measure pressure, bypass, fluid flow, valve operation, steering effort and noise to ensure reliable performance. Our remanufacturing process is earth-friendly, as it reduces the energy and raw material needed to make a new part by 80%.

Worked great on my 2003 Honda Pilot.

Worked great on my 2003 Honda Pilot. I installed a filter in line with replacing the power steering and replacing the hose. No problem, 6 months later. Not meant for the original but I put it on the return line in front of the tank. The roomiest and longest hose that was relatively easy to get to.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Has had problems

What can I say. This is a filter. I won't know if it's effective until it captures the particles. I can tell that the screen can be seen inside through the hose hole in the filter. I don't know if the network is good or not. I just installed it while replacing the factory power steering pump in my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD. The only thing worth writing about that I didn't bother with was the collars that came with us. They couldn't close tight enough to get past the bulge of the barbed connector…

After installing the new pump, rack and all new tubing, I thought it wise to install an in-line filter to keep the fluid free of debris. As you can see in the pictures, once installed, an average of 1 drop started leaking in 2 seconds. It was leaking all over the power steering and air conditioning belts and they also need to be replaced. At first I thought these were the brackets that came with the filter so I took them off and attached other brackets. It had no effect on the current. When I…

Don't take it, it will fall apart.

I installed this filter at the manufacturer's recommendation, it cost $4!+. I pulled out of my car and was only 100 yards from my destination and my steering pump started making noise. Any chance of getting to where I was driving, opening the hood and draining the filter fluid killed the engine. The engine was too hot to run so I did what I wanted to do and let it cool down a bit. Needless to say it was good, when I got back it was cold and when I put the filter back together it started…
