My bike has an integrated luggage rack that rotates around the tire and can be used as a kickstand (see photo). While the trunk stand works well, obviously it can't work as a stand if you have something on the trunk. So I wanted a standard kickstand that would allow me to use the trunk to transport stuff and a kickstand to hold the bike upright. I also wanted something I could quickly remove (with tools) if I decide to ride the bike off-road where I really don't want the grass/leaves catching on the footpeg. With only 3 screws, it can be easily detached and removed in minutes. The stand was very easy to assemble. It uses two different types of bolts and comes with the necessary hex wrenches to tighten the mount to the bike and adjust the length of the stand. The wide base is also useful for creating a stronger stance. The stand doesn't come with instructions on how to install it, but it's quite intuitive. Make sure that the footpeg remains offset towards the rear of the bike when installing, otherwise the footpeg may come into contact with the front derailleur. I have found that once the rack is installed on a mountain bike I cannot simply use it as a stand. When I rotate the trunk, it touches the footrest (see photo). So I had to decide, do I want to use the cargo box as a stand or just use the kickstand? A normal side stand is sufficient for most of my bike tours. If I decide to use the rack as a stand, I can manually pull the stand back enough for the rack to rotate around it - it's not ideal, but technically it will work. So for a 'normal' bike that doesn't have a rack that wobbles under the wheel, this stand should work just fine.
