2008 TL Type S 6MT I read the AZ reviews and was a bit skeptical about this MTF. Many people use it to make shifting smoother and reduce the 3rd gear problem with rougher shifting. Changing the transmission oil on this car is very easy. Once the new fluid was in place and everything was zipped up, I spent some time changing gears before flipping the car. Then I went for a walk and tried to drive a few miles before returning my wife's car. I told her I had changed the transmission oil (30,000 miles later) but nothing else. I wanted to get an objective opinion on whether the gearbox has improved. After the first day of driving she tracked me down and talked to me for about 5 minutes about how much smoother and better the car shifts. She said that third gear is the same as any other now and thank you for that. So we still have a few kilometers to go by car, but you can already tell that something has changed for the better. As she said, she never thought that changing the MTF would improve transmission so much. Henceforth the synchronization will be used for the TLS gearbox.
