I really like this device. Indeed. The form factor is good, it would be great to carry things from phone to work and back. but that pesky old "lets you check the drive to make sure it really is what it says". a voice in my head started yelling for me to check the driveway. When you plug this USB flash drive into an outlet, it goes in smoothly. Windows recognizes it right away and if you look at the properties it's around 512GB. So far, so good. Then I copy some photos there. Images are good because if they are corrupted, they show up fairly quickly. I stopped after about 20GB - so far so good. Now for the actual test. So, after a quick (about 24 hours) drive check with H2Testw (one of those tools you should always have when checking unnamed brand drives), I got the results back: Warning: only 511981 out of 511983 MB tested. The medium is probably defective. 58.5 GB normal (122797623 sectors) 441.4 GB DATA LOST (925739465 sectors) Info: 0 KB overwritten (0 sectors) 0 KB slightly modified (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors) 441.4 GB damaged (925739465 sectors ) 0 Kbyte aliased memory (0 sectors) First offset error: 0x0000000EA37C6E00EXPECTED: 0x0000000EA37C6E00FOUND: 17.766209E57640H2TESTW. . In other words, you overwrite things and won't know until it's too late. This makes the drive virtually useless for moving things, copying pictures, or pretty much anything other than a keychain, and I have plenty of those. So yes I am sending it back.
