Review on ๐Ÿงผ Tawashi Vegetable Cleaning Brush by Carmen Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for root crops. Stay soapy.

I wouldn't consider this coconut fiber Tawashi vegetable peeler if it wasn't endorsed by so many product testers. I've always used plastic bristles for potatoes and root vegetables and the thing looks prickly. But it's cheap, so I gave it a try. The size of the brush is about 3.75 x 3 x 2 inches. Has a small steel loop for hanging. The bristles are tightly bound coconut fibers that will not pierce the skin or fall apart. I mainly use it for potatoes and it does the job perfectly. I haven't experienced any fallout yet. What I like best is that one drop of washing-up liquid is enough for a whole load of potatoes. I never have to put soap on the brush again, even when using it under the tap. Plastic brushes allow you to quickly wash off the soap. Tawashi's brush does not use soap; dense fibers cling to this foam. I don't know how long this type of brush lasts but I like it. However, the bristles are too hard for soft-skinned fruit and vegetables. I use a silicone sponge for this. Made in Japan.
