I use them to drill holes in tiny agate geodes. With a club I can make 2 to 8 holes before it breaks, depending on the hardness of the stone. (Because they're so thin, 1mm in diameter, you can't expect them to last forever.) A handful will certainly last a while (ie more than 8 holes), but some will break without even filling a full hole drill. . You have to be very patient with these bits or you can break either the material or the bit if you move too fast or push too hard (usually the bit breaks first). I use a water system to keep both the bit and the stone cool. I have a feeling not all bits have the same amount of diamond coating but I guess that's why there are 30 of them in a pack!
