Review on Magichold Rotating Compatible Tablets Inch Turns by Curtis Sherman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Any chain is as strong as its weakest link (I'll update this rating after the seller replies)

The seller sent me a brand new arm and frame. The arm wasn't really superfluous. Forgot to mention earlier, but the arm couldn't be pulled tight enough. If it works this time, the double support will be worth the price I paid. However, I'm much happier with the ability to tighten the frame so it doesn't fall off once tightened. I will keep you up to date. 12/ 21/19 The seller has already reached out and informed me that all customers will receive updates. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the manufacturer as I hope this otherwise excellent product is a success! I will describe my experience with the update and completely revise my assessment. So there is no reason to change my assessment of the product itself. 12/19/19 I don't usually write many reviews but I want to save potential buyers the Christmas disappointment. I originally bought this device because it has the longest arm. I was willing to pay extra for durability and reliability, but that's where this unit fails, so the extra cost is for nothing. That's why. While the lever and hardware are surprisingly strong, the two included panels (although they look good) are still surprisingly flimsy; not very strong plastic (and it would be better if they had a protruding part on the back because inserting the iPad into the frame is a two-handed operation and I could use a third hand to secure the iPad). You can feel safe with a spring block as long as whatever you put in it stays there, but do you really want your electric toy to stay in the frame all the time? There are two other, much more significant obstacles.1 . My 10.5 inch iPad Air 3 cannot be mounted stably as the bezel rotates even after tightening a cheap plastic nut; she wobbles a little. You can adjust the screen so the frame doesn't slide down (it rests on the assemblies) but can't be adjusted freely at any angle as it slides back to the lowest point. The screen is thin and brittle plastic and I can don't spot a replacement, but tightening doesn't work as the threads slip after a period of time. Getting the tablet into the frame is a three-handed thing, so you're doing a somewhat haphazard action every time you do this or remove your tablet . You end up with a screen that can't be easily adjusted and a screw that won't tighten but is weak enough to unpredictably snap, and you've got a piece of junk worth $35 or worse, you drop your tablet and smash it; this would render the holder itself redundant. PS: I will update my review after the seller answers my questions, especially regarding the availability of additional nuts (since I'm willing to live with the rest).
