I used to buy privacy filters from online retailers that cost less than $100 and was disappointed because all of those filters blurred the screen when viewed from the extreme sides. But this one does a pretty good job of "dimming" the screen for less than $100. When I received it I wanted to "try" it without removing the backing so I could return it in pristine condition if it didn't meet my expectations. With a plastic back it looked like it would be another disappointment. But when I set it up as advertised I was impressed, how much it dims the screen compared to those at a 45 degree angle directly in front of the screen. I am very happy with this purchase.
