I have walked the aisles with dogs for many years. It's just a place to throw up and go through the mud. I wasn't ready to be so impressed by her softness and beauty. They are flexible and don't take time to lay flat every 10 feet. I rolled the end back a few inches and that was all I needed. I bought floor protectors, but they are so wide and soft that I really could do without them. Above the light maple floor they just blend in as if made for this home, not overbearing but just cute and decorative. I like them so much that I decided to replace the carpet in the hallway with the same one. The effect of the mottled coloring is very subtle, about as pronounced as if the pile was combed the other way. I have several other rugs with a worn appearance that now feel rough and silly compared to the beautiful color change and light staining on these rugs. The leaves bring joy of color, but do not have a loud contrast. It is combined with the gentle curves of the vines. When you walk, especially in the corridor, you usually look at the floor. For me it's a thousand times a day. I love soaking up the beauty of these rugs as I walk. The whole house transformed! The packaging was great. Delivery was great. The price of thieves. It would be ideal if carpet manufacturers made a backing that performs the function of a non-slip base, which we have to buy separately, air, cut and glue to the back. Any carpet manufacturer that could easily make carpets soft and non-slip would find a whole new market of people willing to pay for an upgrade.
