Review on πŸ₯„ Round Bottom Cast Aluminum Utility Scoop - 5 oz. – Versatile Ice Scoop with Finger Groove Handle for Multi-Purpose Use (5 oz.) by Katie Peters

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does what I wanted but.

I ordered this 38 ounce shovel to help me remove the dirt in my patio garden. I have a lot of dirt boxes and large bins, and a shovel this size can be used as a near-perfect little shovel for the job. It's aluminum so you don't have to use it, it's sharp enough on the edge to cut through tiny roots when digging, and it's just the right size for use in Earth Boxes. There is a problem with this shovel and its design is a big question for me. The handle is barely long enough for a child's hand! What was the designer thinking? Guess I'll have to find a piece of galvanized pipe to attach that short handle to give me leverage. From what I understand the shovel was designed for processing loose dry seeds, grain or flour, so I've given it four stars for its other attributes. A grown man using it to scoop grain will still be annoyed that the end of this short handle digs into his palm. Over time, this can lead to arm pain. There always seems to be something.

Pros
  • CURVED GRIP – Comfortable and non-slip grip with curved finger grooves for a secure and comfortable grip. Great ice scoop!
