The magnet is pretty strong but mine arrived broken. I'm not keen on plastic screw caps when they can break so easily in transit. However if it wasn't broke it would do the job and be fine, I don't think they need to be strong and super strong, I'm sure they will hold up well to the max weight of these magnets. It only hurts to give them back. I hope the seller packed them better, it was funny. The fasteners on the right side of both slats were shattered I believe due to crappy packaging. The item itself seems good.
