I wear a 10 but could only get a 10.5 so they are a bit big but the strap pulls well so he doesn't notice. I have worn them on the beach and they have protected my feet from sand and stones. The bottom of the shoe is firm enough for me to wear. So if I have to go to the store before going to the beach, I feel supported and feel like I'm wearing regular sneakers. I don't need to bring an extra pair of shoes. What I like. The only thing holding back this 5 star rating is that the insoles are removable. So when your feet are wet and you take off your shoes, the insole comes out too. You can refuse them, but the shoes will not be as comfortable. So if you don't mind sticking an insole in, these shoes are great!
