We used to be scared of driving our dog in the car. She was either whimpering in her box (the box is buckled for security) or she was roaming around the car trying to get into the front seat. We were all exhausted long before we reached our destination. I was impressed with the security control of this harness and was hoping it would be easier to transport Maisie across the state to our daughter's senior college. We did a few practice rides a week before we left and put a cushion on the seat to give her some height so she could see out the window while seated. More importantly, she seemed happy that she had boundaries and knew where her place in the car was. We had a great trip. Now I take them on walks around town and on business trips. She willingly puts on her "car coat” and seems happy about the invitation. Big difference for us. There are cheaper harnesses out there but they seem strong, well made and comfortable and after she's donned the gear a few times it will be a quick process. This purchase was worth it.
