My puppy nibbles when his gums hurt, gets restless at night and whimpers a lot. Numerous teething toys, carrots, ice cream etc. did not harm him. Within seconds of rubbing her gums with it, she calmed down. It's very efficient. If after a few uses we notice that she is teething or bleeding, I show her the tube and she sits up and opens her mouth for the application. I find it most effective to smear it on my finger and rub it directly into her gums where I can feel the missing baby teeth. I let them "bite" my finger for a few seconds and it seems very soothing. I am very satisfied with this product. Didn't notice any negative side effects.
