I still use this thing quite often. I'd say there are some newer/better interfaces out there, but I really like this one. It does everything I need and more. I was on an international sea voyage last year and didn't find out, but I was able to watch the tides with GPS. Really durable. Long battery life (even with rechargeable batteries). swims. does everything i need
