It was an EXPERIENCE. My friend and I had no idea this thing was ONLY giving off heat, not light, so we thought it was malfunctioning until we felt insane heat from this thing just seconds after turning it on! This is a great product BUT be careful if your aquarium isn't that big as it will eventually overheat and potentially kill your pet. I had 2 bearded dragons in a 175 gallon aquarium, the male was having a bit of trouble breathing due to the cold weather here in New York and also because I just went from a 20 gallon to a 175 gallon aquarium, so i needed more . the wattage of the bulbs and other things to increase the temperature and this bulb did its job well! I am VERY happy that my dragon is recovering and that alone is a sign to me that I am doing something right. This lamp is a great option for a sudden increase in temperature in a large aquarium.
