This is a decent scanner for a small office. Scans pretty fast. The software is not that bad, but it is much slower than the ScanSnap software in comparison. I have a ScanSnap ix500 but I need a TWAIN compliant scanner for the software and I've tried. A very good scanner for the price. Using TWAIN in a Fujitsu scanner costs about $600 more than this one. So considering the price difference, it definitely works! If you've had a Fujitsu before (like me) you'll notice a noticeable difference in speed between the two from the moment a scan begins to the moment it ends. This scanner takes more "thinking time" before it actually starts scanning, while Fujitsu starts scanning as soon as you press the button. And the software is slower, as I mentioned earlier. The Fujitsu software was faster and more accurate when turning pages and removing blank pages. It stuck a little more than the ScanSnap, but still not as bad. If you're switching from a generic printer/scanner to this one, you're going to love it. But if you've had a Fujitsu before, you probably won't like it as much as your Fujitsu.
