Now that I've used the mirror several times, I'm thinking whether I made a mistake in purchasing it. My initial rating was 5 stars but the fold function felt choppy at first but then seemed to work every time. Now the "Fold" function is intermittently interrupted again and I have to press the "Fold" button two or more times before the mirror folds or unfolds. The mirror on the driver's side always works perfectly. It's too hard to replace, so I hope it keeps working even if I keep having to press the 'fold' button. This is phenomenal value as it is nearly identical to the original mirror. My Avalanche has a silver trim on the front, this mirror is chrome plated. However, I was able to change the bezels, but it's difficult and you have to be careful not to damage the mirror. I only used plastic tools. There are some other small differences, such as B. the harness clamps which are different but simple enough to pull out the originals and use the ones that come with the new mirror harness. All in all, it's a real deal, but still. But after installing and verifying that everything works, the fold function didn't work every time I pressed the mirror fold button. However, pressing the fold button again activated the mirror fold function. After about a dozen tries, the mirror now folds in every time and is actually smoother, quieter and faster than the original driver's side mirror. So far this mirror suits me.
