Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Altura Photo Camera Hand Strap - Rapid Fire Secure Camera Grip with Padded Wrist Strap for DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras - Compatible with Camera Neck Strap - Perfect Camera Straps for Photographers by Rusty Heredia

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Am I crazy for not liking it?

there are 505 reviews to date averaging 4.5 stars for this item (unless Altura has a similar bracelet which unfortunately Revain groups with this one) (which it doesn't just happen sometimes, it's Revane's SOP)) Aaaaaaah, that's what I don't like about this thing.1. I thought it would turn the camera on and off quickly. I definitely don't want to use this all the time and figured I could toggle it on and off. nope You'll need to thread it through one side of your camera's clip so it fits snugly around your wrist. It takes over a minute, and that's all I'm willing to spend on using a bracelet. It took me 3 minutes to capture it on camera. Even if you take it off faster, it's too time consuming. Why can't they make a clip integrated into the strap that attaches to and detaches from the camera clips? I mean it would be so easy to do. 2. I saw a reviewer write that he had trouble getting this thing out of his hand, and while I can see that's also an issue, I'm more afraid of it falling off my wrist and my camera falling off mine hand falls. Hand. I bought this thing because I have tendonitis or muscle spasms in my camera forearm and I need to loosen my camera grip from time to time just to relax my arm. Perhaps most buyers of this thing just want extra security, but won't loosen their grip. If yes, this reason does not apply to you. If you also bought this to free yourself from the constant grip of your camera, then it's a big deal. I mean, the only thing holding the camera in my hand are the snaps (snaps?) that snap on the outside of my wrist. Am I going to trust the entire welfare of my $3,000 camera to two clicks of a button? No chance. Again, they could easily have used the clips, but they didn't.3. I agree with the previous reviewer that once you start taking it off your wrist the plastic parts will cut into your camera. I mean it looks good. It's even beautiful. I really want to like it. But it's not a quick camera on/off switch like it should be, and the button clicks into place as the only line of defense to keep my camera from just falling out of my hand (when I'm not holding it firmly). 505 other people think it's great. Or at least they will lead you to believe. In that case, take my word for it and see if you like it. That's all.

Pros
  • good item
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

If youโ€™re okay with it not sitting flat because of the side loop then itโ€™s perfect
