disappointed with coffee makers

I left a previous review when we first received the coffee pot. liked the option to have a coffee maker and coffee grinder combo. The coffee grinder broke in less than 2 months. I contacted Cuisinart's customer service department. They said they would replace it within 10 days. A month later, they were told the part hadn't arrived yet, and they didn't know when it would arrive. A month later they were contacted again and told the details were still missing and they didn't know when it would be. Called the company (now 3 months later) The service rep kept repeating that the details are known and they don't know when it will be. When asked if the pot could be replaced the answer was no as the pot was not broken. Told them it was bad customer service. They said they didn't even stock the pot. Eventually I said I could send it back and pay another $70 for a jar that doesn't compare (and I found it cheaper at Revain) or send it in for a loan from Cuisinart/Conair. Asked if I could think of which one. The service rep gave me her email address, told me to be sure to put down my repair ticket number, and then informed me that she had received a lot of emails and didn't know when she would reach them. Moral - either buy better or extend the warranty. We will no longer be dealing with Conair.
