Possibly one of the worst audio experiences I've had in a while.

I'm not going to comment on the fact that I paid $26 for something that normally costs $13. Times are strange and getting hold of crafting supplies now can be a small act of God so I'll put that aside. Sculpey III should be soft. Sculpey III clays are for beginners and should be very soft so little hands don't have to work hard to get results. They arrived dry and the only way I could use them was by working in silicone oil until they were usable. Silicone oil is not cheap; If you need to add oil or liquid clay just to use the material, it's not good. Sculpey (even the Primo/Pro versions!) have been slowly declining in quality over the last few years. Don't expect this year to be any better. Colors do not match Seriously, the colors do not match the pictures. I've come to expect that from anything Sculpey is offering at the moment (they just have serious quality control issues; I've had things unsealed from the craft store, I have no idea what they do there). If you like me and if you're ready -made pastel clay, check out FIMO's Foodie Fun Sculpting Clay Kit. You can find it at Michaels and even here for $16, it's soft and won't let you down. If you really have to go to Sculpey, make sure you bring a bottle of Sculpey fabric softener or silicone oil so you can reactivate your clay! This will keep you sane in the long run, trust me.
