Happy with it. in GPS, Finder & Accessories

Experimenting with this in a small town north of Chicago. My son in the right seat drove it while I drove. In many places I didn't expect. We needed body work on our car and he found the body shop by name. One thing that bothered me was that he kept turning the screen off and just using his voice. Even though my son turned the screen brightness to maximum, he turned it back down. Checked the screen timeout for never. After playing around with it, my son ended up sticking with the screen, although we don't even know how we did it. There are no instructions. I'll search for it and see if there's a download. I'm new to using GPS so I'm not aware of its features or features that many expect. There was no traffic in our area, although I hope this device will be helpful when traveling to Chicago. I'm not a big city driver so I hope this helps us navigate better when changing lanes and approaching intersections! You still have to try and experiment a little. Previous trips wondered when the next gas station would be or what place to eat would be available in the next X miles so we settled on the location and saw what we wanted was a few miles further up the freeway. My wife hasn't played yet. She has always been a navigator of the right place. So if she sits in the right spot and chooses gas, food, and diversion options, I'll focus entirely on traffic. I expect the GPS unit to be a nice improvement over the paper maps we've been using for years. One of the fun parts of e-mapping is that some of the new locations haven't been mapped yet, so he found the deal and then showed us how it works. from the street to the grass.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Confusing
