Review on Amazon Basics Modern 5-Tier Ladder Bookshelf Organizer, Solid Rubberwood Frame - Espresso Finish by Jon Lesperance

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It seems solid and sturdy enough, but assembly is tedious

I'm taking a break from assembly to leave a review, as it's easily the worst part of the purchase experience for me. I moved to a new apartment in a new state a few months ago and, out of all the DIY assembly I've had to do, this one takes the cake for being the worst. It seems like everything is shaping together well enough, but it's laborious, tedious, and boring. I've been at it for about an hour and I have a ways to go.The number of screws, brackets, and the angles they need to go in at are a bit restricting. Other pieces of the shelving get in the way of being able to easily fit a screwdriver in to where it needs to go, and some of the screws are hard enough to get in that the grip of my screwdriver started to peel off on one side.I hope it's all worth it, because I will never go through this assembly process again. It speaks to poor engineering, at least when it comes to consumer friendliness.
