Bought for an aging woman. she loved it. Easy to use and very fast. As another reviewer mentioned, the five cup capacity is misleading. However, when filled with water, it completely fills two large cups of coffee. A small amount of water heats up quickly. There's no timer, but it turns itself off and leaves the heater on to keep the coffee hot. I think you should turn this off completely to avoid burning out the car. Oh, I almost forgot. It includes a permanent coffee filter. Update April 11, 2019 Long time ago, right? I just saw this and realized I should have updated earlier to mention that this machine automatically shuts down to prevent burnout. I think they all do. The machine still works well and is used every morning.
