Do not hesitate to buy, the quality is amazing for the price.

Never paid attention to WD. The guys from the PC repair department at our enterprise advised. Thus told that it is possible to take any disk from WD. Acquired disk is not just pleased, but very pleased. It is clear that it takes time to check the disk. The disk does not heat up. The radiator on the lid, which is actively blown by a large Hitachi Ultrastar cooler, has a temperature of 27ยฐC. Western Digital Blue without cooling, though in an upright position - 28 ยฐ C. Doesn't make noise. The drive is really quiet. Light. "Wound up with half a turn." While working without "surprises". The tests showed, firstly, a very good magnetic surface, where there are no poorly readable sectors, for which, for example, Toshiba is so rich (I recently purchased one copy re-marked from Hitachi Deskstar). Comparative tests with the same brand new and similar in capacity, but smaller in cache, expensive Hitachi Ultrastar showed almost the same ratio of <5, <20 and <150 sectors. Only in sectors <50, WD has 12 pieces, and Hitachi Ultrastar has as many as 1100, but the passport speeds of Hitachi Ultrastar are lower than those of this WD, and according to my tests, they corresponded to the declared ones. Speed โ€‹โ€‹tests are different for different programs. because, nevertheless, each program measures with its "parrots". CrystalDiskMark 3_0_2, with more or less correct (reasonable) selection of volume and passes, showed 218/170 MB / s. A more objective AS SSD Benchmark Rus (namely, the 2022 version with pre-installed and not adjustable "volumes and passages") showed 190/170 Mb / s. Very accurate, I would say the professional PC3000DiskAnalyzer program in the first, naturally faster half of the disk, showed speed jumps stably within 180-190 MB/s. I'll tell you from my experience. That if you want an objective speed test, then use the PC3000DiskAnalyzer. You will see the speed of the disk in the form of a chart for all its sectors from the beginning to the end of the disk.

Pros
  • Quiet. Cold. Fast . real reading speed (and not in parrots) 180-190 mb / s
Cons
  • No
