I've only used it 3 or 4 times so far. My goal in purchasing this device was to ensure that the pH of the wort in my mash tun stays at 5.4. It takes a few seconds to get the final reading, which I wasn't expecting, but I've never used a device like this, so I don't have a basis for comparison. All pH meters may have a response delay. The storage solution comes in a black cap and as the device is usually stored on the back or front I doubt how well this will work for long term storage. I keep mine upright in a Tupperware container that has about an inch of storage solution in it. The lid doesn't bother me. One thing that I like and that made me choose this device over others is that it uses standard batteries. No need to try to remember and then find that weird watch/hearing aid battery. To this day I am happy with it. If I had at least some experience with this type of device, I might rate it differently. The time will show.
