Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for switching between MacBook Pro and Xbox One on Apple 27 " LED Theater

04/21/2021 Edit: I've been using this DisplayPort KVM Switch for a few days now and although it switches DP more or less good - video and DP audio (sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect the USB-C to DP1.4 cable from a 2020 MacBook Pro with Intel 10th gen processor) to make it recognize the monitor), this one DisplayPort KVM switch does not toggle my USBs device properly So far I have tried the following devices: a Non-Bluetooth wireless (2.4GHz) mouse called the Staples mouse This mouse comes with its own wireless (2 .4GHz) non-Bluetooth USB dongle supplied.b Wireless (2.4GHz) Non-Bluetooth Keyboard - Logitech K750 This keyboard comes with its own wireless (2.4GHz) non-Bluetooth USB dongle (aka Logitech Unifying Adapter) supplied c webcam and Mi krofon are integrated into Apple's 27-inch LED cinema display. l Three of the above USB devices work with 2020 13" MacBook Pro through this DP1.4 KVM switch, if I switch to another DP source (Xbox One) and then back to the 2020 13" MacBook Pro, none of these devices will work with the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro anymore. After struggling with this issue for a few days, I unplugged all three USB jacks from this DP1.4 KVM switch and plugged them directly into a 2020 MacBook Pro. The problem with this solution is that I wanted to use the Logitech K750 keyboard with both a 2020 MacBook Pro and an Xbox One using the USB toggle feature of this DP1.4 KVM switch, but that doesn't seem to be the case to function properly. . Haven't tried a wired keyboard yet to see if this DP1.4 KVM Switch can switch a USB wired keyboard from one device to another. Because of these USB switching issues, I downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. 04/19/2021 I bought this DisplayPort KVM 2In-1Out Switch to switch between XBox One and MacBook Pro (2020 Intel 10th Gen Processor) and output video to 27" Apple Cinema Display. This DisplayPort KVM Switch has a very small size and is made in the form of a tank (all metal body) It looks and feels like a very high quality product, which is rare. Switch 2. Plugable HDMI-to-DP Active Adapter (to connect to Xbox One HDMI output port) Monoprice DP-to-DP (male-male) cable DP1.2 (for connection #2 to #1) Place 15. USB-C to DP Cable (Male to Male) to connect MacBook Pro to #1. My son can now use an extension cable connected to this DisplayPort KVM Switch to extend the inputs between Xbox One and MacBook Pro to switch while keeping the same output (Apple 27 - inch cinema display). The Xbox One outputs perfect native 1440p resolution to the Apple 27" Cinema Display via this DP KVM switch and the cables/adapters listed above. This solution also allows the Xbox One to output perfect stereo sound to the 27" Deliver 27" Cinema Display. The volume of the Apple 27" Cinema Display cannot be controlled from the Xbox One but can be controlled from the MacBook Pro. So you need to set the desired volume from your MacBook Pro by using the input switch this KVM to your MacBook Pro and then switch back to your Xbox One to use this volume. The DisplayPort KVM switch I received supports up to 8K resolution, although the description of the item on the Revain -Page says it supports resolution up to 4K In my case it doesn't matter as the monitor (Apple 27" Cinema Display) I'm using with this DisplayPort KVM Switch has a max resolution of 1440p supported. The brochure that comes with the DisplayPort KVM Switch also mentions that it supports up to 8K resolution. This DP1.4 KVM Switch must have the USB B port of the USB B to USB A cable (supplied with the switch) connected to the host computer Device connected to a DP1.4 KVM switch Alternatively, it can be powered using a miniUSB to USB-A cable (also included in the Included with the switch) connected to a USB power source (e.g. the USB plug that came with the iPhone) - unless you are using this DP1. 4 KVM switch for switching USB sources between two hosts.
