This review is probably only for those who, like me, suffer from severe gluten intolerance. They taste great and I ended up gifting them to my husband who is very picky and really likes them. My problem is that the packaging clearly says "gluten free". You are not. I got sick a few times before I understood and actually read the label on these bars because I couldn't figure out why my gut felt like something was about to turn inside out. One of the ingredients, at least in the salted caramel flavor I bought, is malt extract. Malt extract is made from barley in the United States. Maybe the company thinks it's such a small amount that it shouldn't be taken into account. I'm very sensitive to gluten and got sick every time I ate one of these until I finally realized it had barley extract in it and that was the problem. So I'm pretty sure they're suitable for those who don't have allergies, but they shouldn't be labeled as gluten free unless they clearly are.
