After my Plantronics GameCom 780 broke (literally broke in half) I decided to go the other way with my gaming headset. I bought a pair of Sony MDR-7506 headphones and put this mic through a cable spool. Positive: The microphone is attached to the headphone cable and stays there securely. You never have to worry about its position as it's always hanging in your mouth. Also, the cable is VERY long so I had no trouble connecting it to the computer. Cons: There are small clips on the cable that grip the cable. That's all good, but it works terribly on a spiral font. They turn into small spikes that cling to the cable and twist it in odd places. You can't cut them off as they are fused into the plastic of the wire. It doesn't bother everyone, but it does annoy fans of spiral wire. Also, the sound is not very good. This shouldn't surprise you as it's a tiny mic, but the sound is very thin and not bassy at all. It does the job, but it doesn't sound very good. If you speak into the webcam's microphone, you'll get essentially the same sound. This is a very good mic and overall the price is good. But currently I'm looking for something more reliable.
