The meter came the next day after I split the walnut cord for firewood. The walnut tree was felled 2 days before the trunk was split. When splitting firewood, I noticed a noticeable moisture in the wood. So 3 days after felling the tree and the next day after splitting the trunk I used a moisture meter to check the percentage. The measuring device showed a constant humidity of 8 to 10 percent. This didn't seem reasonable to me as I googled the moisture content of wood-fired walnut and they said that if it was below 20 percent it would be fine in 6-12 months! I emailed Prosteruk for help in determining the accuracy and possible means of verifying something calibrated. To date I have received no reply and I find that unacceptable. PRODUCT SUPPORT PEOPLE!
