Interesting technology

We only use wood heating. We cut down dead trees for firewood and cut down fallen trees for next winter. They mixed up the firewood, and as a result, wet logs spoiled the merry fire. It's such a weird little gadget to use, but it works well. I thought my friend was crazy when he arrived but I use it to keep the fire going and check the wood for moisture before trying to start a fire in the morning. It came quickly, there is a standard almost English guide that works and there are 4 different…

I don't know if that's right!

The meter came the next day after I split the walnut cord for firewood. The walnut tree was felled 2 days before the trunk was split. When splitting firewood, I noticed a noticeable moisture in the wood. So 3 days after felling the tree and the next day after splitting the trunk I used a moisture meter to check the percentage. The measuring device showed a constant humidity of 8 to 10 percent. This didn't seem reasonable to me as I googled the moisture content of wood-fired walnut and they said

Works very well - very accurate, fast shipping and a seller who cares!

This tool helped me a lot; Especially considering the price and from a seller who really cares about the buyer like these guys do. (That's rare these days.) I bought it a while ago, but today it still works like new. It lets you know if your humidity is >10, 15, 20 or more percent. Very good information about woodworking. My brother also brought a very expensive moisture meter for comparison. This tool is worth the money! The delivery was also incredibly fast. I had this tool in my hands…

Great gadget to make twine Liar Seller

I'm so tired of firewood sellers telling me their wood is twine and that it's well seasoned. now that they appear and it's obvious that the weight to pick it up can't be a string. I show them my lot marked with fence posts and tell them before I give them the money that we will pile it up. If the amount is right I'll pay double, if it's not enough leave it and go. Under protest that they don't have time, they haven't received my $ yet. Now with this device, if someone tells me the wood has aged

Where does the mesquite fall on the counter?

For a budget device it works very well. I have found that the wood you are testing should have a fresh cut. So if you're testing a piece that's been drying for a while, you'll get a fairly dry reading just by inserting the sensor pins. different reading. It's certainly not uncommon, but be aware that exact results depend on how you test. I live in the Southwest and get different types of hardwood and softwood. For example Palo Verde, Pine, Ash, African Sumac, Aspen and Mesquite. I'm never sure…

Waste of money for measuring and marking tools

The product arrived very quickly and I was keen to try it. They thoughtfully provided a 9 volt battery and installation was easy. The instruction manual was useless but it was in different languages. I tried it on a walnut floor that I am about to install. I need to know if the material has acclimated to the humidity in my home or thousands of dollars worth of material damage could result. Vain. one showed only zeros. I re-read the useless instructions and tried again - with the same results. I

Buy dry. Firewood. fits Moisture Meter

I wanted this to test the moisture level of the sand in my jet and my firewood. It is at a fair price, shipped quickly and arrived before the expected date. It is very EASY to use. If I bought firewood (chopped myself) then this saves you from buying undried firewood. It also allowed me to ensure my firewood was properly seasoned. My aged ash wood is tested at 10 to 12 percent humidity. Unseasoned wood is tested about 25-40 percent. Operation is easy. He asks what kind of wood you are testing…
