Revainrating 4 out of 5

Super bright monitor that is super easy to set up

Score 4/5 First of all I like Asus products. I have an Asus IX Maximus motherboard, an ASUS 1080 TI STRIX graphics card and now I have an Asus 32 with a 4K monitor. It's good. This is not my first 4K monitor as I am currently using the BEnQ321C monitor as my primary photo/video editing monitor. I'm not too crazy about this monitor as it was extremely over the top. It works fine, but I don't think it cost $2,000. This monitor came about because I was looking for a second monitor that was the same size. This monitor arrived a day earlier than expected and was very easy to assemble. I was able to unbox and assemble this monitor in less than 30 minutes, which is much faster than BenQ. This monitor is SUPER BRIGHT! I love it. but that can be extreme. I have to turn the brightness down to 25-30 as it slightly overwhelms my BenQ monitor. The picture quality is very good. I don't see the exact quality as advertised but it's still very good. I love that it has many different settings for Adobe RBG, SRGB, DP3, Rec 2020. I calibrated the monitor as soon as it arrived and it fits my BenQ almost exactly. My main gripe with this is the menu and how you access it. I'm spoiled for the BenQ monitor which has a mini washer that separates from the monitor and you can access all the menus through the washer without having to touch the TV. This monitor's menu and all of its settings should be accessible from behind the monitor, which seems like a minor inconvenience. Overall this is a very good monitor, I don't think it compares to the PA32UC or PA32UX but it's pretty decent. The color is beautiful and assembly was very easy. As long as I'm happy It's far from perfect, but it serves its purpose. Pros Easy to set up Lots of different mode settings Picture quality is pretty good - not great, but good Displays colors fairly well Super bright Minus Super bright You have to reach behind the monitor to access the menu Most I/O ports are on the back of the monitor the monitor at the bottom, which is a bit inconvenient. This makes it difficult to attach anything without rotating the monitor.

Pros
  • A dark spot on my monitor, no bright spot or partial sub-pixel defect.
Cons
  • There are so many dead/green pixels that it looks like a green cloud from a normal distance.
