I really liked this radio when I first got it. It has a good tone and volume, as well as a beautiful colour. Unfortunately it was very short. I have no children in the house, I have not subjected it to bullying with this radio, I have used it indoors on flat surfaces. However, the antenna broke shortly after purchase. The two telescoping pieces just separated from the bottom piece one day when I was setting it up to play. I tried reconnecting but to no avail and it was for the radio player. I bought this primarily to play CDs, so at least that feature was still available. However, the CD cover could no longer be closed after about 6 months. I've found that if I keep trying and finally clicking on it *just right*, I can close it and play my CD. But then it started skipping all drives. I was able to play about 20 minutes before it jumped to the end of the disc and stopped. My discs are not scratched. I was comfortable with that for a while, but now it's a rhythmic click the whole time I play a CD. I'm afraid this poor little boom box is about to self-destruct. I really wanted to love this item but I'm disappointed that I only used it for a year before it turned into a paperweight. Buy stronger.
