I had high hopes for this pen and was disappointed. Size and strength are great! Very heavy and that's one of the reasons I realized I'd have to return it. I have bought other pipe ornaments from stores but they are very heavy for their size. It was intended for a thinner mirror but the mirror is a bit cheap and has a plastic frame and I was afraid it would be too heavy for that. I was thinking of using it on our actually wooden barn door, but after assembling it (very easy!) my hands turned black. More precisely black. I don't know if it was because the whistle was painted, but it felt like it was covered in paint or something else to give it color and it just came off my hands. I'm not keeping it for that reason. Maybe if they applied some setting spray I would keep it, but I can't keep a pen that washes my hands every time I use it.
