This retractable children's gate is nothing special compared to others. I would choose the cheapest and most visually appealing. It cost $49.99 at the time of this review, while there are a few on the market for $40, assuming they're a little cheaper. To properly install this gate you will need to drill holes in the wall or door frame. Keep in mind this doesn't work for glass or metal stairs. The gate is a strong web and retracts like a seat belt. It's not the easiest way to operate with one hand, so the latches will still be a lot better. Overall, this isn't a bad goal, but it depends on what you need.
