A diverse set of Arduino modules but with an obscure target user base

Overall this is a good collection of Arduino modules with a sleek, unified design. First, the name of the kit is misleading - these aren't 48 sensors, they're modules. There are LEDs, servomotors, LCDs and other elements that are not actually sensors. On the other hand, there are some interesting sensors not found in other common Arduino kits: gas sensor, analog sound sensor, vibration sensor, pressure sensor and some others. Otherwise, most of the included modules are the standard set found in other small sets. I'm confused as to what the target customer base is supposed to be. On the one hand, it's a diverse set of modules to play with and explore the possibilities of the Arduino hardware. On the other hand, neither the enclosed booklet nor the website listed contain specific instructions for connecting and programming these modules. It is helpful for the seller to refer to some of the documentation pages when contacting the seller directly, but these materials should definitely be included or mentioned in the package. The kit does not include wires and other basic components, so a beginner needs to purchase additional parts first. Also, some program examples don't match the schematics (e.g. the white LED example has a mismatched pin number between the diagram and the code) or the connection pictures are just wrong (e.g. an analog sound sensor shows a connection on simultaneously to 5 and 3.3 volts and not to ground). ). These nuances certainly require a more experienced programmer/customer. However, an advanced user usually has a specific project in mind and does not need to buy such a large kit as they overpay for many modules when only 1-2 components of them are needed.

Pros
  • a handy item
Cons
  • so far so good
