I have given up on UNI filters as they collect so much dirt that they restrict airflow and the oil you spray becomes too sticky and dirty to clean! I gave the K&N filter 1 star for installation. I drilled a 3/8 hole in the "&" of the k&n. The Raptor 700r airbox is not designed to hold filters with clips that they slide onto and bolt onto. I felt that the clip and filter could just slip off on jumps and rough terrain. This pre-drilled hole allows me to use the stock thumbscrew and screw on. I also used a clamp. This will likely void your warranty, but this works great as the screw fits snugly in the 3/8 hole. The washing machine guarantees no dirt and now I don't have to worry about the filter falling off!
