I haven't really bothered to check what happened to the unit but it doesn't seem to turn on my other TV . I've always connected the Sony TV with no problems, but the Visio TV didn't connect consistently from the start. It was originally a cheap HDMI cable which I used because I had no problems for two months after replacing it. I don't know why but about 2 weeks ago the second TV stopped giving me a picture and as I really haven't had time to play around with it I don't know exactly why it isn't working now as I'm used to. I would probably try a different model. If I could, I would send it back. When it actually worked, the picture and sound were just as good, and both screens turned out to work just fine.
