I think they are worth the price. The tolerances aren't tight enough for my needs so I sent them back. Perhaps it was unrealistic for me to expect near perfection from such a cheap product. If you want some decent places to shop they might be good. But I know I'll always hesitate to use them when it really matters. On arrival each piece is lightly oiled, in its own sealed plastic bag, in its own disposable carton. Without lining. All four small boxes were inside the product's outer box (not the shipping box). I carefully cleaned them and placed them back to back vertically on my granite surface. When I shone it from behind, I couldn't find the places where they touched. I'm sure it was a tiny imperfection that caused light to show through around the rim. Other than that, the disclosure wasn't even there yet. They're just not straight. On top of that, there was an ugly 0.003+ gap in the outer corner because every detail seemed to have been sanded down a bit. Slight polishing marks are present, but the gap is telltale. Then I tested each of them on my 1-2-3 blocks, inside and out. Turn everything off. Nice try but not good enough for me. Just to make sure I wasn't the only one, I compared it to my well-known good 4-inch mid-range twin square (not Starret). Yes. The thing is just perfect. .So I returned mine but I saw that they might be useful depending on your tolerances and needs. I just didn't need another semi-reliable square in my shop. I'm saving more money and ordering Incra like I originally should have.
