Review on Carburetor Tecumseh 640086A TH098SA Powerlite by Marquez Hinshaw

The carburetor was delivered immediately after my order. He approached and the device started, but the fuel flowed from the intake to the carburetor and did not stop flowing even after the engine stalled. I called the seller who promptly sent a replacement and advised me to leave the bad carburetor with a bad float. When I opened up the second carburetor, I found that the float bowl seal protruded from the seating area about 3/4 inch of the rim. I sent a picture of the problem to the dealer (ROP) and advised him to try putting the float bowl gasket in the correct position. It didn't work, but I was able to remove the float bowl gasket from the first failed block and successfully install it on the second. The snowblower now starts and runs well and I am grateful to ROP for their help and care in acquiring a working unit. I'm retired so these repairs were sort of a hobby for me. I wouldn't be so happy if it snowed or if I was still working full time and wasting so much time on a job. The carburetor now works very well and I am happy with it. Only 3 stars because I spent a lot of time in a cold garage to get everything right.
