I was hesitant to buy this because going from one input to eight outputs would likely attenuate (weaken) the signal and cause poor TV reception in my home. But look, it works fine. I have a Verizon Fios cable input to this splitter and the signals from the outputs are good enough for Verizon signals even over long cables. I can't vouch for other signal sources (may not be enough for a passive antenna on your roof), but for my situation with my Verizon Fios TV, this splitter works fine. I mounted it on the wall in my basement next to the Verizon box that comes from the underground cable and it splits the signal into separate cables that go to the rest of my house. The price of this particular splitter was a lot cheaper than many of the other options available here on Amazon.
