Review on Moog 254 Super Strength Universal by Kevin Hauck
Tight Fit on Tacoma
Installed on Tacoma 07 4X4 DCLB to replace the universal joint I removed to get to the main bearing. I previously installed a Spicer 5-1330X and had no mechanical issues, but the case rusted. The Moog looks and feels like a heavy hitter. The only problem is that when the locking rings were installed, the caps were very tight. I had to rock it back and forth a little to make it relax a little. When I get them back I'll grind end caps 0.25mm or so. Most likely I'll focus on Spicer crosses next time. Will be re-evaluated after one year of use.
