Review on ๐Ÿต DuraCopper Callisto Tea Kettle: Premium 3.1 Qt. / 3.0 L. Old Dutch Elegance by Jamie Eddington

Kettle for coffee and tea Old Dutch DuraCopper Precise, 1.05 liters. /1.0L.

Looks like there are several different DuraCopper shell reviews in one place. So as far as that goes - I really like it, but there are two caveats to keep in mind. Although the plastic handle has never been set on fire it still gets pretty hot as others have said. You could do better with this design. I also need a whistling kettle. I walk around the house for a bit, start the water, then go check other things and (unfortunately) forget. This is a very quiet kettle. :-) But the two times I've let it simmer on a gas stove (once for a while) the kettle hasn't later fallen apart, melted or leaked. Wonderful. However, I don't want to tempt fate, so I'll get something else. Oh third. The small vents should be on the side when you put the cap on. If you place them facing the spout and tilt the kettle too far when full, water will leak out through the steam holes. If you hold them close to the handle, you may get a steam burn while pouring. So set the holes aside. In general, a very good kettle, but it did not suit me.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
