I have a 9 inch Skil saw. This is about the same entry level as band saws. It was my first saw so I had no reference and just worked with the standard blade and the Bosch saw blade I replaced it with. The cuts have always been disappointing, massive curve and very rough cuts. I installed this blade and made my first attempt on a 2 inch piece of cherry. He cut through it the same way I cut through the 1/2 inch layer with the previous blades. The curvature is minimal and the cut is much cleaner. I was able to manually saw the oak board into pieces within 1/16 inch of each other. This allowed me to follow the cutting lines and achieve square cuts. I can't believe I thought band saws were a good tool for so long. Now I like my band saw. Thanks, people.
