I installed it myself. It comes with a paper template, just read the instructions and follow the template. Took me about 30 minutes, I drove slowly. Simple wiring 12V. Long cable, enough for my 21ft CC. First I have to turn on the radar, then start my Simrad Go9 so the Go9 can see the radar, then switch from standby to transmit mode. I looked beyond 30 nautical miles, leaving Dana Point Harbor and seeing Catalina Island and other boats 100 yards away. Very happy with the purchase, I like its security when we leave at 4am. Besides, the weather and the bird mode are also good.
