Review on 🛠️ KIPA Carburetor Rebuild Kit: Quick Fuel Holley 4160, 390-850 CFM Models - P/N # 37-119 37-720 37-754 371542 by Jeremy Hahn

I categorically DO NOT RECOMMEND this kit for repairing KIPA carburetors. I offer this evaluation with over forty years of experience as an apprentice automotive mechanic. I am old enough to service, tune and rebuild multiple carburetors of all makes and models. Unfortunately the correct set from Holly is in reserve and not available. The list of complaints is so-so. The throttle body gasket had to be cut. Many seals were not fully pierced and the holes were plugged. The vacuum diaphragm rod had to be rotated to mount the linkage. The power valve cannot close because the button machined on the shaft is too large to clear the hole in the cap, the spring is too weak, and the end cap is too loose on the shaft. The flats of the adjusting nuts on the needle/seat assemblies had to be filed to fit the nuts, only to find that one assembly was too large in diameter to fit the carburetor and the adjusting screw was too large to fit the take screw. This is an unacceptably poor production and a very low quality product. Attempting to use this kit was a frustrating waste of time for me and a frustrating waste of time for a customer. I intend to return this junk kit for a full refund of shipping costs.
