We don't often use electric candles as they come in the box. These candles found their way into our Halloween hangout as candles to add atmosphere to the graveyard and in jack-o'-lanterns to give them a more realistic feel. They withstood outdoor use despite being well covered and only briefly exposed to foggy nights. They are quite bright for their type of candle, have a nice shimmer and color, and their cost is within our budget. The remote sometimes takes a few button presses to turn them all on, but it even works outside where we put candles. They are made from a wax outer shell which means they will easily adapt to having even more wax dripped onto them to give the effect we have come to expect from a much older, decrepit candle. Considering they were about two dollars a candle when we received them on sale, we are very happy with the purchase.
